The CARG Toolkit is a set of Artificial Intelligence (AI) resilience and governance tools designed to evaluate and guide the responsible use of AI within projects that relate with the IoT-Edge-Cloud continuum.

Developed under the Horizon Europe CODECO project, CARG combines leading principles from the EU AI Act, OECD Guidelines, and UNESCO’s AI Ethics to deliver a transparent, trustworthy, and replicable methodology for AI-driven orchestration across Cloud-Edge environments.

This framework not only defines core governance principles but also introduces practical tools and automated processes for continuous AI assessment, monitoring, and improvement. Serving as both a working solution within CODECO and a transferable blueprint for other initiatives, the CARG Toolkit empowers organisations to address the real-world challenges of AI reliability, safety, and accountability at scale.
